7 Baking Soda Cleaning Hacks

Aside from cooking, baking soda has a variety of additional household uses and health benefits. Let us have a look at some cool hacks!
Simply sprinkle a light layer of baking soda on the bottom of the can before replacing the bag.
Create a lemon juice paste with ½ cup bleach with ¾ cup baking soda. Brush the paste with a toothbrush on grout lines. Let it sit for a few minutes and wipe it off.
Mix with 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup salt and 1 cup white vinegar into a paste. Apply to the stain and allow to dry then vacuum!
Mix 2 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of baking soda, 2 cups of washing powder, add some vinegar then 1 kettle of boiling water. Watch as the alkaline reacts with the acid vinegar and it should help to dissolve any grime built up.
Keep a small bowl of baking soda in your fridge to help neutralise smells. It works like a sponge to soak up any bad odours – just remember to change it every month or so.
Add baking soda to a sponge and clean the insides of your microwave and reduce odors by putting two tablespoons of baking soda in a microwave safe bowl and add a cup of water on top of that. Then put the bowl in the microwave for three minutes.
Simply sprinkle baking soda all over the surface, then gently rub it into a paste with a warm, soapy cloth. Let it sit, and then rinse with warm water.
