How to clean baby’s toys safely
Your children spent a lot of time with their favourite toys. They played with, chewed on, and slept with their toys. The grime, dirt, allergens, or mould will be produced on the toy’s surface easily. How often should you clean and sanitize your children’s toys to keep them safe?

How often should you clean the children’ toys?
If your children usually play with the toys and even sleep with them, we suggest you clean and sanitize the toys weekly to maintain the cleanliness of toys and keep your children healthy.
1. Soft toys/stuffed toys
Stuffed toys will accumulate the dirt and stains quickly. Most people will place the stuffed toys inside the washer and dryer. After a few times of washings, some stuffed toys will be ruined or broken. Before washing the toys, you need to check the label on the toys to help you on deciding which cleaning method will be more suitable.
If using washing machine, place the toys inside the laundry bag or pillowcase to protect the toys. Using soft laundry detergent which is suitable for babies, or you can add some white vinegar to kill the bacteria. For toys that have many stains on the surfaces, you can sprinkle some baking soda on the stains before putting them into the washing machine.
2. Plastic toys
There’s various shapes and sizes available for plastic toys. To clean the plastic toys, just prepare a bucket of water and add some detergent or white vinegar which suitable for babies. Put those plastic toys into the water and soak for at least 3 hours. Some of the plastic toys can use dishwasher to clean. Placing the toys on the rack of dishwasher, the hot water and dish detergent will kill the bacteria on the toys.
3. Electronic toys
For electronic toys, we only clean the surface. Slightly dampen a clean cloth with warm soapy water and wipe on the toys’ surfaces to remove all the stains, grime, and dirt. Otherwise, you can use the disinfection wipe to kill the bacteria and viruses on the toys’ surfaces.
4. Teething toys
Soak the teething toys in the bowl of hot water for around 10 minutes. For those teething toys which cannot be boiled, you can add the white vinegar into the warm water and soak them for 15 minutes before rinsing them.
